For some time now, October Afternoon fans have been scarily prophetic in foretelling the arrival of an OA Halloween collection, and now, Witch Hazel is here!
It's hauntingly brilliant, I must say. I used a bunch of it on a layout that I created for last week's sketch challenge on the OA blog:

| Click here for more details and a supply list. |
I created the first card by layering strips of Witch Hazel Happy Halloween and Mesh Washi Tape, and then I worked in a word strip from the Witch Hazel Miscellany and some breakdancing (at least, that's what I'd like to believe they're doing) skeletons from a page out of the Here and Now Chapters.
It's kind of an urban skeletal vibe. You know.
The second and third cards are companions, in a way. See the large black tree on this sheet of Witch Hazel Shape Stickers?
I was planning to use the tree right away on a card, but then I had the idea to use it as a mask first. This is the result:
I'm actually still deciding whether to leave it in card form or to turn it into a mini-album. Hmm...
After using the tree as a mask, I then transferred the actual sticker to a card.
The fourth card is my favorite, because it reminds me of my own kitty, who, incidentally, turns her back on me often, because she's sassy like that. She'd make a perfect familiar for a real witch.
I misted a Witch Hazel post card, stitched around it, and added Chip 'n Stick buttons and the black cat chipboard shape.
The last card brings us to today's giveaway!
See the so-cute-it's-spooky buttons on that card? You could win some of your own!
To be entered to win a set of Witch Hazel buttons, just leave a comment below by 6:00 p.m. Hawaii time on Sunday, October 7, and I'll select a random winner. Please include your email address in your comment (or a link to a site where your email can be found).
Thanks for hopping by today! Your next haunt is the blog of Michelle Wooderson.

Your cards are adorable. I love the idea of using the tree as a mask. That gives me so many ideas to try now. I like that you used so many squares of the papers on the layouts and showcasing the washi tape by making it look like the tape was holding the squares down. Thanks for the inspiration today.
