I've been working on a compilation of my favorite photos from 2012. Each year I pull together one of my favorite photos from each month of the year, and I assemble them on a "retrospective" layout. This is a peek at the title block, which is built upon a foundation of American Crafts Powder Glitter Tape, and which includes a variety of uber-cute flair/badges from Ormolu and Evalicious.
Over the past few weeks, the gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket has been packed with colorful and festive layouts. Here are some of the many (many) layouts (and peas) that I've bookmarked recently:
Clockwise from top left: Kyoko Kobayashi, Lula75, Sherrifunk, Voneall, A2Kate, and Marie-Pea.
(1) Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spritz. Once I saw how the Mint Green Color Shine looked on the page, I stocked up on all of the colors above (and then some). Don't let the colors above fool you -- each one has a gorgeous iridescent sheen. Seeing is believing:
(2) Crate Paper Fourteen. The colors in this line are for me. Would you just look at that green?
(3) American Crafts Love Is in the Air XOXO Patterned Paper. There are so many reasons to love this 12 x 12 beauty: the color, the stripes, the splatters, the B-side ledger pattern...oh, and those clouds!
(4) Studio Calico Darling Dear Calendar Pockets. I used all twelve of these on the year-in-review layout I mentioned earlier in this post.
(5) Dear Glitter Foam Thickers. I'm crazy about this font -- and the fact that these come in several different colors!
To thank you for stopping by today, I would love to offer you a chance to win a spot in Lisa Truesdell's new Two Peas workshop, Start Here.
Here's more info about the class:
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." - Pablo Picasso
Get a jump on inspiration with Start Here. In this workshop, Lisa Truesdell will give you the tools to turn almost any image into a jumping off point for your next layout. You'll learn to break down images into smaller elements and use them to inspire your page's color combo, design, or even new techniques. We'll talk about finding images you love and identifying what grabbed you about them, and how to put that inspiration to work!
Lisa is joined by twelve talented contributors who will each be sharing a page based on one of Lisa's inspiration pieces, as well as their thoughts on finding starting points in unexpected places.
Included in the workshop are 27 brand-new scrapbook pages (15 from Lisa and 12 from her contributors) showcasing a variety of interpretations of inspiration pieces, 3 printable PDFs and 3 brand new videos following Lisa as she makes a layout starting with an inspiration piece.
Lisa's talented contributors include Allison Waken, Ashley Calder, Becky Novacek, Doris Sander, Erica Hernandez, Emily Spahn, Kelly Noel, Kristina Nicolai-White, Laura Kurz, Lexi Bridges, Lisa Dickinson, and Marcy Penner.
The content of this workshop will be available immediately upon purchase. The lessons are available for you to work at your own pace and upon purchase can be accessed in the "Workshops" section under "Classes & Events." A private message board forum is also available to ask questions for Lisa and to connect with other participants. Enjoy!
The next stop on the blog hop is Garden Girl Jen Gallacher. Be sure to spend a bit of time on her blog, as she recently posted a list of her favorite Two Peas projects from 2012, and if you haven't bookmarked or pinned every single one of them (yet), now's the time to do so!
You can also start from the beginning of the blog hop by going to the Two Peas in a Bucket blog. Happy hopping!
