Welcome to the Gardeners' Digest, a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas in a Bucket. We'd love it if you'd visit each of our blogs today to see what's in bloom in the Garden this month.
With February just a few weeks away (already?), Valentine's Day-themed layouts are sure to be "cropping" up everywhere. The Garden Girls will have a bunch to share with you in the gallery on February 1! Here's a peek at my layout:
I love that this year's Valentine's-themed lines are not limited to the usual pink-and-red fare. In addition to traditional Valentine's Day colors, Crate Paper's Fourteen line contains yellow, blue, and my absolute favorite shade of green (which you can see above), plus a mix of map and ledger patterns.
Looking through the pages that I have bookmarked from the gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket over the past few weeks, it's clear that my eye has been drawn to layouts that mix neutrals with brights. Here are a few that I am crushing on, big time:
For more details, check out "Hello My Lovelies" by bronte10, "Happiness & Fun" by magdam, and "Task Party" by Sigmagirl in the gallery at Two Peas.
(1) These "On Target" stamps from Mama Elephant aren't just great for Valentine's Day pages, but are meant for loving all year round! Just look at those arrows...and that "love" stamp...and that bullseye (which wants painting!). When a single stamp set gets my wheels spinning like this, there is nothing left to do but make it MINE!
(2) Here's a peek at what's in my cart at the moment: I've been stocking up on ink pads! The Hero Arts Navy, Ocean, and White dye ink pads were calling my name, and it's also time for me to replace my Versa Mark ink pad so that I can emboss with abandon. I see mucho stamping in my future!
(3) BasicGrey's True Love collection has definitely piqued my interest. Just look at those arrows -- and that sheet of patterned paper with woodgrain on one side and ledger paper on the other? The collection is aptly named, that's for sure.
(4) I'm also crazy about this Doodlebug Dear Heart Lovebirds paper! It's terrific as is, but I think I'll cut it into smaller sections and work it into more layouts that way.
(5) These lovelies are back in stock at Two Peas! I can't decide which of these Freckled Fawn wood chips shapes I love more, so I'm not forcing myself to choose. They both belong in my stash!
