Gardeners' Digest: February Garden Girl Blog Hop

Welcome to the Gardeners' Digest, a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas in a Bucket.  We'd love it if you'd visit each of our blogs today to see what's in bloom in the Garden this month.

What truly inspires me are people who are unafraid to take on challenges, and what's more, to do so creatively. I recently read an article called "Fundamentals of Creativity" that defines creativity in terms of fulfilling the requirements of a task while also being original and innovative. That sounds rather clinical, I know, but it makes sense to me. In last week's "Love, Love, Love" Scrap Your Stash video, I put forth the challenge to use envelopes on a layout and/or scrap your philosophy of love.  This "Inspired By" shout-out is for those peas who not only accomplished the task, but who also took on the challenge creatively! Here are a few of the submissions:

Since CHA, the forum at Two Peas has been filled with threads of yearning and desperation -- When is Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm going to be released? When is the new Amy Tangerine going to be in the store? Will I ever smell a fresh new piece of patterned paper again?  Oh, I know those threads well...especially since I contributed my passionate paper ponderings to a few.  

And now, at long last, the waiting is over! The past few days have seen the Two Peas store flooded with over 600 new products. Best. Deluge. Ever. Here are some of my favorites from the lot: 

(1) Jenni Bowlin Studio Paper Tapes.  I had to take a photo of these lovelies, just so that you can see the wonder that is the Bleached Woodgrain, the brightness of the Notebook Grid tape, and the subtlety of the Sideways Chevron tape.

(2) "Remember This" 12 x 12 Maggie Holmes Paper by Crate Paper. Both sides of this paper have stolen my heart. You'll notice this paper in my upcoming Garden layout:

(3) Maggie Holmes Mini Album Collection by Crate Paper.  The vellum packet of sequins and the striped envelope are my favorites!

(4) Studio Calico Wood Veneer Shapes.  I foresee many pet pages in my future! 

(5) Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Collection.  I love this collection even more than 5th and Frolic, if that is possible. The combination of pastels, brights, and navy is amazing, and don't even get me started on these patterns.
